Between Gulf Coast hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, and occasional flooding, Missouri City homeowners need real coverage — not just the bare minimum your mortgage requires. We offer comprehensive home insurance including fire and windstorm coverage (flood is a separate policy — ask us about that too).

When something happens to your home, you need someone in your corner. As your local agent, we advocate for you through the entire claims process so you're not navigating it alone.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Does homeowners insurance cover flood damage?
No. Flood is specifically excluded from every standard Texas homeowners policy. To be covered for flooding you need a separate flood policy, either through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) or a private flood carrier. Hurricane Harvey flooded thousands of Houston-area homes that had homeowners insurance but no flood policy.
Does homeowners insurance cover hurricane and windstorm damage?
Usually yes, but Texas coastal counties can have a separate windstorm deductible (often 1–5% of the dwelling value). Inland counties including Fort Bend typically include wind in the standard policy. We'll walk you through exactly how your policy treats named storms.
How much home insurance do I need?
Enough to fully rebuild your home at current construction costs — not what you paid for it or what it's worth on the market. Texas construction costs have climbed sharply in recent years, and underinsured homes are one of the most common surprises after a loss. We review replacement cost annually to keep your coverage in step.
What's NOT covered by a standard home policy?
Flood, earthquake, routine wear and tear, pest damage, mold from long-term leaks, and business activity run out of the home are the most common exclusions. Some of these can be added with an endorsement or a separate policy.
How does the claims process work?
Call us first, before you call the carrier. We help document the damage, file the claim, and advocate for you if the carrier's initial offer doesn't match what you're owed. For most clients, having a local agent in the loop means faster, cleaner claims.
